Well Brian & Maegan's engagement session turned out great- we are also photographing their wedding in November- the pier was a great setting and luckily it wasn't too windy- here are a couple of my favorites from the day.
How exciting our friends Rachel & Dave had their baby girl the other day! WE have been so busy I will update with all the fun happenings but I thought I would start with these custom birth announcements- isn't she cute! I hope to be doing more of these postcards in the near future! Let me know what you think!
Ok so back to the sunflowers and garden- we got our first squash and I should have a couple of tomatoes ready in the next few days- there were two really cool bugs in there the other day and I got some cool pictures. The sunflowers are as tall as Joe (5'6")- these pics are a couple of days old.
So June 5,6,& 7 was the Cherry Point Airshow, and part of working for Combat Camera is being there all three days to photograph the event- it was miserably hot with ambient air temps on the flight line (where I photographed from reaching 120 degrees) Needless to day 3 days in that heat was not fun & extremely exhausting, but I did get some great images- here are some of the bests- I am going to try and put together a slide show.
So I designed some business cards for our friends Rachel & Dave- they are both amazing musicians- feel free to hire them for your wedding or event! We put together their business cards through a combination of images I took and some from band trips- what do you think?
So the day after the maternity and engagement session (June 1,) I shot Brandon & Lynn's wedding at Fort Fisher, NC. Other than the weather being unbearably hot it was a beautiful day and a great ceremony. I was really happy with the goldfish shot at the end when they went to leave- it came out so much better than expected- I just love the expressions on their faces. You can view the slideshow (music provided by Rachel- the one in the session below- she does all occasions please feel free to e-mail her- I will post her business card next):
So June has been an incredibly busy month thus far and I am going to try and get caught up on all my posts. The first weekend in June I did three shoots in two days, the first day it was extremely windy, I shot Jeremy & Kaala's engagement and Rachel & Dave's Maternity session (my first maternity pics) at the beach. I had to wipe my camera lens about every two minutes thanks to the sand that coated everything. It was also my first time using the new lensbabies 3.0 that I just purchased (see the ring photo). Also the first shoots where I got to put the new Kubota actions we purchased to use. Hope you enjoy!
So here is the cover for a softball recruiting video, our Kubota actions came the other day and they really helped! This will hopefully make all those coaches look twice at Whitney- she is a really good pitcher- for the back cover we scanned a bunch of newspaper articles where she was featured.
Ok so here are some pictures of a snake we had in our yard and some fun ones of sunflowers we are growing (Joe is hoping they will be 12 ft- I am not so sure).
Hello everyone and welcome to our blog! This is where we will fill you in on fun stuff and what is happening and just cool photos we want to share that won't make it to our website. ( www.thedigitalimageinc.com ) My name is Bree and I live in Hubert, NC with my husband Joe and our two dogs Brady and Sophie. I love photography and get great enjoyment from running my own business. When not taking pictures I work at Cherry Point as a civilian. I currently work at Combat Camera, but will be moving over to the Comptrollers office at the end of June to hopefully have some better opportunities career wise. Please feel free to drop us a line or say hello. Thanks for reading.
